The shocking secret about pharaoh Tutankhamun’s assets
Tutankhamun is considered a famous pharaoh of ancient Egypt. After his death, Tutankhamun was buried in three coffins stacked together. Strangely, he was buried in an old coffin that was made for someone else.
Famous ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun was born around 1341 BC. He ascended the throne in 1332 BC. He was only 9 years old at that time.
Under the reign of Tutankhamun, Egypt entered a golden age of brilliant development. However, in 1323 BC, when he was 18 years old, pharaoh Tutankhamun suddenly and mysteriously died.
Accordingly, Tutankhamun was buried in a mausoleum reserved for kings.
In 1922, British archaeologist Howard Carter and his team found the intact tomb of Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun. From here, a number of mysteries are decoded.
Among these, the most notable is the mystery of Tutankhamun’s three coffins. Experts found the mummy of the famous Egyptian king placed in three coffins stacked together.
Specifically, the innermost coffin has the shape of a mummy, made of solid gold weighing 110.4 kg. This sarcophagus contained the mummy of Tutankhamun with a golden mask placed over the king’s face.
Next is the middle coffin, made of gilded wood and covered with colorful glass. On the outside is a coffin made of wood and plated with gold.
When carefully observing and studying the coffins, experts noticed that the coffin in the middle had a different design and face drawing than the other two depicting Tutankhamun.
Many Egyptologists believe that this coffin and some burial artifacts with Tutankhamun were originally for Neferneferuaten – this prince’s predecessor.
No one knows what happened to Neferneferuaten or why Tutankhamun was buried in a coffin made for someone else.
