In that maritime disaster, about 450 people died. And the precious gold on the ship also sank deep to the bottom of the sea.
Since then, rumors of a ship carrying gold worth hundreds of millions of pounds have attracted many treasure hunters to the Anglesey Sea to search. Mr. Vincent Thurkettle is no exception to that number.
During the past 7 years, he has been actively digging and diving to find the rumored huge treasure trove of gold. Vincent even invited friends and relatives to search with him. And luck smiled on Vincent when he saw a rock shining in a crack at the bottom of the sea. Previously, a huge storm swept the Anglesey coast and washed away 2m of sand at the bottom, revealing rare gold.
“I always just hope I will find a few little nuggets of gold. So, when I saw that huge piece of gold, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was a magical moment,” Mr. Vincent said.
Immediately after announcing the precious gold nugget, Mr. Vincent handed it over to the museum. In the near future, the gold nugget will be widely displayed for the public to admire.

Mr. Vincent also hopes that he will receive 50,000 pounds in salary (equivalent to 1.6 billion VND) for finding the precious gold piece.
