Sorrowful Whimper: A Canine’s Plea for Aid and Redemption Echoes Through Its Paws (Video)

They left him lying on the side of the road, very weak, unable to stand, desperately waiting for help.

We found a poor puppy lying on the side of the road like a broken toy. He looks like he is dying, he is in a horrible state. Just horrible, there are no words to describe this. He is so dehydrated that his skin no longer stretches, most of his hair is missing. His skin is dry, cracked and infected, he is like a skeleton with stretched skin. hanh

It is difficult to find a place to put the needle so that fluids can enter it. The smell emanating from his infected skin is something I cannot describe. I no longer have words for this. Yes, we can do what seems impossible right now… but his wonderful family will take good care of him and support his recovery. hanh

Just pray for him. He was too weak to sit, stand or lift his head, he was simply motionless, not reacting to anything. Just before going to the vet clinic, his skin was so itchy that he was constantly trying to bite and lick it to relieve the itch. At the vet, Harika also tested positive for Distemper.hanh

Again Harika proved to be a fighter and continued to improve day by day. Our brave puppy Harika was awake for a while and ate recovery food. He peed too, so I’m very optimistic that he can pull through. At least we tried, very, very hard, it will be another long night for both of us. Day 3: Little Harika today enjoys the sun in the courtyard of the veterinary clinic.

The second day at the vet, he even tried to walk around a bit following us in the yard. After a few days at the veterinary clinic he was feeling much better and tried to play a little. The first toy they brought to Harika when he was at the veterinary clinic. Day 15: Harika in the courtyard of his foster home with his monkey on a colder day. hanh

Day 36: Hakira has fun with her friends Peanut and Charlotte Harika is finally ready to receive her first vaccines! Day 43: A family from Holland contacted my people and they want to adopt me! Harika is now adopted, she has found her forever home Day 60: Harika is on her way HOME! He has permanently left Bosnia-Herzegovina and should return home tomorrow.

So get ready for happy photos. He is still recovering from tick fever and anemia, but his wonderful family will take great care of him and support his recovery. Harika now, a year after being rescued. Here you have it, Harika in his forever home. Look how incredibly handsome she is today!! He survived and grew into a beautiful young dog who is now happily adopted from Holland.
