A Sweet, Furry Surprise
A week after Sydney and her partner moved into their new house, their security camera alerted them to someone in the back of their house. Initially, Sydney thought it was a coyote and rushed outside to check. To her surprise and delight, it was a skinny little puppy, and her heart melted.
Despite Sydney’s kindness, the frightened puppy ran off, leaving Sydney longing to see her again. The next morning, the adorable fur baby returned, drawing Sydney’s attention. Determined to rescue the little stray, Sydney spent the day trying to gain her trust, leaving food and preparing a crate.

Hope to Rescue the Frightened Pup
The puppy noticed Sydney’s efforts and began to relax. Although she circled around the house every 20 minutes, she wasn’t ready to be captured. That night, Sydney heard a coyote howling in the distance, worrying for the puppy’s safety. The next morning, witnessing a coyote chasing the stray, Sydney knew she had to rescue her.
In the evening, the neighbors captured the little canine and brought her to Sydney’s house. The puppy, now named Dobby, was happy to spend the night in a warm home, finally feeling at ease after a long time. Her rescuers were enchanted with her and relieved that she was no longer on her own.

Feeling the Warmth and Comfort of a Home
The couple took Dobby to the rescue, but after finding no microchip and determining that she had no owners, Sydney and her husband gave her a forever home. The only concern was how their Frenchie, Gary, would react to a new sibling. To their delight, Dobby captivated Gary’s heart.

“I was shocked at how much they have become best friends and how much they really love hanging out with each other,” Sydney shared. The siblings snuggled with each other all the time.
Dobby became a loving member of their family, enjoying cuddling on the couch and soaking up all the love. The couple believes that Dobby was destined to find them, and they are over the moon that the fur baby chose their house.
