Bad news for New England.
New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel became the talk of the town in the NFL in recent weeks. He and insider Dianna Russini were photographed being cozy at an Arizona resort at the end of March, sparking speculation.

Their initial responses aimed at shutting down the scandal, but they backfired later. Russini resigned from The Athletic after the New York Times launched an investigation into the situation, while Vrabel has been under the spotlight for his vague statements.
The coach addressed the media again before the first round of the 2026 draft, admitting that his actions didn’t represent his standards. It didn’t help, as new pictures convinced people that Vrabel is guilty, and he should receive some sort of penalty.
Albert Breer Shares Concerning Update On Mike Vrabel

The situation has apparently taken a toll on Vrabel, who doesn’t look as sharp as before. NFL insider Albert Breer explained that the coach has lost some of his focus amid this situation.
“I can just tell you factually he has not been the same the last two weeks in that building. The sense I’ve gotten talking to people is that bravado and everything else, I think this has taken a chunk out of that,” Breer said. “I really like Mike personally – I’ve covered him for a long time. I think deep down he’s a good guy with a good heart. I would say it’s like what you don’t want is that version of Mike Vrabel walking around for the next six weeks until summer. You want to find a way to get the full Mike Vrabel back.”
This is crucial for the Patriots. They were one win away from another Super Bowl in February. If they want to challenge again, having Vrabel at his best will be mandatory.
