It was a reunion of the “Top Flight Security of the world” at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night.

Before the Los Angeles Dodgers took on the San Francisco Giants, rapper Ice Cube threw out the first pitch, but the catcher wasn’t who you’d expect. It was actor and comedian Mike Epps, who famously plays Day-Day in “Next Friday” and “Friday After Next,” the fictional cousin of Cube’s character, Craig Jones, in the “Friday” franchise.

The “You Can Do It” rapper was also honored with a special edition bobblehead night at Chavez Ravine.

The pair have worked on several other comedic films, including “All About the Benjamins” and “Lottery Ticket.”

The on-field reunion comes as the pair are hosting a one-night-only event in Long Beach to celebrate the cultural impact of the “Friday” films. It’s called Everyday’s Friday: Lyrics, Loungin’ and Laughing and it will be held at the Long Beach Ampitheater on July 17.

“’Friday’ has always been about and for the fans who made it a classic and kept it alive for nearly 30 years,” Cube said, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson. “To be able to step back out there with Mike Epps and bring that energy to the stage for a one-night-only experience in Long Beach is special. This show represents the beginning of the next chapter.”

During the event, Cube will perform some of his greatest hits while Epps will be taking the stage for a stand-up set.
