Midfield
Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric will once again make up Los Blancos’ midfield. The experienced trio would focus on dominating possession at the centre of the park and engineer a few meaningful opportunities for their teammates to find the back of the net.
Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchoumeni will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to catch the eye in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Vinicius Junior will get a chance to make a real difference from the left flank while Federico Valverde keeps his place on the other side as a right-sided wide player.
Karim Benzema will once again spearhead Ancelotti’s attack up top. The French striker didn’t take long to open up his goal-scoring account for this campaign after scoring in the second half against Frankfurt earlier this week. He will be expected to do most of the damage for the Madrid outfit in the final third.
Mariano Diaz will make up the numbers on the bench but might come on to make an impact in the latter stages if required.
