On June 22, the quadruplets—Bennett, Coby, Dane, and Adam Hagler—entered the world. While the news initially stunned the couple, their previous experience with a miscarriage heightened their excitement to meet these rainbow babies.
Born at 34 weeks, the Hagler quadruplets are fraternal. The naming process involved active participation from their older siblings—stepbrother Paxton, 12, stepsister Kalleigh, 13, and brother Sammy, 2.
Fortunately, the babies experienced no complications, and following a short stint in separate NICUs, they were promptly discharged to go home.
Even though their initial plan was to have just one more baby, the Haglers openly recognize that the quadruplets have brought about a positive transformation in their lives. Patrick Hagler, a marriage and family therapist, reflected, “I just turned 50, so celebrating my 50th with four little babies—when most people are becoming grandparents at 50—has really energized me.”
Aside from the financial adjustments, the Haglers are navigating the evolution of their daily routine as the quadruplets continue to grow. Gaby Hagler estimated that they manage an average of 45 diapers, 95 wipes, and anywhere from 12 to 24 bottles per day. Approximately nine hours are dedicated each day to feeding, burping, changing, and attending to the quadruplets’ needs.
To simplify identification, each newborn in the Hagler family has been associated with a unique color and animal theme. As the babies grow, their distinct personalities are beginning to emerge—Adam is described as “the most mature,” Bennett as “the star of the show,” Coby as “the professional baby” who adheres to a schedule, and Dane with his own unique traits.
