On a sunny day in Taizhou city, Zhejiang, China, the life of Mr. Luong, a local resident, suddenly changed when he decided to build a new house. During the process of digging the foundation, Mr. Luong accidentally discovered an amazing ancient tomb, and he immediately reported this discovery to the local government and the Heritage Management Department.
A team of archaeologists was summoned to explore this tomb, but its severe deterioration created many difficulties. While working around the ancient tomb, believed to belong to the Southern Song Dynasty 800 years ago, experts discovered a circular piece of glass that glowed when light shone on it. This confused them because of the modernity of this object.
Finally, testing confirmed that this is an important cultural relic, located in the tomb of Trieu Ba Van, the 7th generation great-grandson of Song Thai To Trieu Khuong Dan. Research on the object discovered another similar round piece of jade in the tomb of Trieu Ba Van, a writer of the Southern Song Dynasty. He always carried these pieces with him to show off his noble style, and even after his death, he still chose to take them to his grave.
This excavation not only provides a deeper understanding of ancient Chinese culture but also emphasizes the importance of protecting cultural heritage to inherit and pass on to future generations.
