She claimed she had tried to take the dog to a shelter, but they had turned her away. As the woman disappeared from sight, the abandoned pup began crying and frantically running back and forth, trying to follow her.
Left alone, the dog sat by the fence, gazing into the distance with a despondent expression. Moved by the scene, the man tried to comfort the pup and called his wife, Maddy Cantu, for support.

Upon seeing the forsaken dog, Cantu was deeply affected by the sorrow in her eyes. Unable to fathom how someone could abandon such a sweet pooch, she and her husband resolved to foster her until they found her a loving forever family.
Once home, they gave the scared pooch a comforting bath and showered her with affection. Over time, the dog, named Daisy, began to trust them, finding solace in her cozy bed and the companionship of her foster parents.

As Cantu and her husband lavished Daisy with love, she flourished, forming a strong bond with her newfound family. Despite their initial plan to foster her temporarily, they couldn’t bear to part with her, and Daisy became a permanent member of their household.
A vet visit confirmed Daisy’s good health, estimating her to be three to four months old and a mix of German Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. Although Daisy’s older canine sibling, Lilo, was initially wary, they eventually warmed up to each other.
