Xabi Alonso Scolds Vinicius in Front of the Entire Real Madrid Squad
Xabi Alonso gave a stern warning to Vinicius in front of the whole team after his criticized behavior in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Oviedo in La Liga Round 2.

Vinicius was very aggressive after being provoked by Oviedo fans. However, according to MB, Vinicius was reprimanded by Xabi Alonso in front of the entire team, despite contributing an assist (to Mbappe) and scoring the goal that sealed the 3-0 win after coming on for Rodrygo in the 63rd minute.
The reason was Vinicius’s retaliatory actions and lack of restraint when provoked by Oviedo supporters. Fortunately, after making a two-finger gesture reportedly mocking the second-division hosts, Mbappe quickly covered Vinicius’s mouth to prevent him from saying something that could have resulted in a penalty.
Vinicius has undeniable talent on the pitch but is known for his hot temper and tendency to get involved in unnecessary conflicts with fans—behavior that Real Madrid is clearly not happy with.
Xabi Alonso seems determined to discipline Vinicius’s temperament and did not hesitate to criticize him publicly in front of the squad. MB cited a source close to Bernabeu, saying the Real Madrid coach warned him not to do anything that would cause a stir or affect the team.
“I will not tolerate such behavior again,” Xabi warned. Vinicius was reportedly surprised by Xabi Alonso’s sternness, but he understood that the head coach was being strict to ensure the whole team stays fully focused on football.
