Patrick Mahomes named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Mahomes was lights out in Week 4, throwing for 270 yards and four touchdowns with a passer rating of 124.8. It was Mahomes’ first game with at least four touchdowns since October 2023 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

This is Mahomes’ 11th time winning player of the week and his first since Week 12 of the 2023 season.
The Chiefs’ offense had the best performance in over two years, scoring 37 points, their most since September 2023 in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, when the team put up 41 points.
A major reason for the uptick in offensive production is the return of WR Xavier Worthy, who played his first full game of the season after injuring himself on the third play of the game in Week 1.

With Rashee Rice’s return on the horizon, the Chiefs’ offense should only continue to improve and will be one of the most dangerous units in the league as the season goes along.
Mahomes and the rest of the offense will look to continue their momentum when they head to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars on Monday Night Football.
