However, a glimmer of hope emerged recently when an individual expressed interest in providing Sora with a loving forever home. Excitement rippled through the shelter as Sora’s adoption seemed imminent, only for joy to swiftly turn to sorrow when she was returned within a mere 24 hours.
According to Valley Animal Center, Sora’s surrender in July 2021 stemmed from her previous owner’s realization that she required more attention and training than they could provide. Describing her as a sweet and energetic pup, the shelter emphasized her suitability for an active household, yet lamented her prolonged confinement within the shelter’s kennels.
The swift return of Sora shattered the hopes of both shelter staff and the pup herself. Sim Kaur from Valley Animal Center conveyed, “Sora did not get enough time to decompress in her new home and was introduced to new family members too quickly,” in an interview with Newsweek.
