“Falling in love” Raised Half-concrete Half-wood House, Warm and Humble Amid a Country Atmosphere

“Falling in love” is the beginning of this house because Khun Nam-Warit Wanla-or has often traveled to northern Thailand.

In addition to meeting Chiang Rai’s wife Khun Nam also fell in love with the cozy atmosphere of the northern city. Therefore, he intends to come back and build a house to live with his family here someday.

When the time is right Khun Nam and his sister, Khun Nun – Mukda Wanla-or decided to buy this land in the midst of this natural forest in Nam Phrae, Chiang Mai Province.

The location of this house is surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings with mountains in the background. And since it is a valley area, there is a ditch flowing through the back of the land.

On the edge of the land, there is a large Chamchuri tree to shade the house. With beautiful nature, in addition to having the main living space in the house Khun Nam intends to have space for outside sitting. Support activities outside the family in this shady atmosphere.

The usable area of the house is 188 square meters divided into three main houses: a residential building, a wooden pavilion beside the ditch and an outdoor bathroom.

Just choose to cover the ground floor with all concrete walls in order to increase the internal usable space by designing as many windows or openings as possible.

This makes the house look airy and allows natural wind to flow through the house. Most of the materials chosen are from natural materials that can be found in the local area.
