Former Real Madrid star Kaka has revealed that leaving the club was the best memory of his spell in the Spanish capital.
The Brazilian superstar made a £60.3million move from AC Milan to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2009 arriving in the same window as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso.

Kaka made an encouraging start to life in Madrid after six successful years in Milan but the Brazilian’s form began to dip following the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager in 2010.
He quickly slipped down the pecking order under Portuguese coach who preferred Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria. Kaka was a far cry from his 2007 Ballon d’Or success as he looked like a shell of a player in red and black AC Milan.
The Brazilian magician won the Champions League and Ballon d’Or in 2007 with Milan.

Kaka hasn’t blamed the club lately, but he admitted that his best moment at Madrid was the day he left.
“It may sound strange, but I like the day it’s confirmed that I’m leaving,” Kaka told Marca.
“I spoke with Florentino and he said that he considers me a great professional who has done everything to achieve great results.
Kaka: “When I was officially leaving Madrid, Florentino told me that they saw me as a great professional who had done everything possible to achieve great results in Madrid -that was great satisfaction because it meant the doors of Real were open to me in the future.”
