Bills select CB Toriano Pride Jr. in Round 7 of 2026 NFL Draft
The Buffalo Bills have doubled down on a position of priority as president of football operations/general manager Brandon Beane informed during his media session after Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Bills added cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. out of Missouri with pick 220, their first of three selections in Round 7.
Pride joins Davison Igbinosun as the newest pair of cornerbacks to enter Buffaloâs rebuilt defensive back unit via this yearâs draft. Pride represents a priority by the Bills to continue adding explosive speed, with him clocking the fastest 40-yard dash time (4.32 seconds) at the 2026 NFL Combine.
Pride also posted a 1.51-second 10-yard split, a 7.2-second 3-cone drill, a 37.5â vertical jump, 10â8â broad jump, and put up 13 reps on the bench press. NFL.com gave Pride a Prospect Grade of 5.86 and a label of âAverage Backup Or Special-Teamer.â
Hereâs what NFL analyst Lance Zierlein had to say in scouting Pride:
âPride did an admirable job of holding up outside against solid SEC competition but heâll be under consideration as a slot corner in the pros. He plays with good zone awareness and average man-cover talent. Heâs athletic with agile feet and is feisty at the catch-point, but he might not have the needed speed or length. Toughness is not an issue, but he will be dragged for additional yardage as a run-support tackler. Pride could go late on Day 3, but a lack of traits and explosiveness create an uphill fight for him.â
Pride split his four-year college career between Clemson and Missouri, playing in 26 games for each program. In 52 total games, Pride made 82 tackles (64 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, five interceptions (for 50 yards), two interception touchdowns, 16 pass defenses, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries for 62 yards, and one safety (per Sports Reference).
Pride will further infuse Buffaloâs cornerback room with speed that often translates well to good opportunities off turnovers.

The first six rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft are in the books. As expected, the Las Vegas Raiders took Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick on Thursday. But there were some surprises, including Carnell Tate going to the Tennessee Titans at No. 4. Tate was one of four Buckeyes to go in the top 11 picks, with the defensive trio of Arvell Reese (Giants at No. 5), Sonny Styles (Commanders at No. 7) and Caleb Downs (Cowboys at No. 11) also getting drafted.
On Friday night, Rounds 2 and 3 kept rolling in Pittsburgh. Things got off to an emotional start as Kayden McDonaldâs long wait in the green room ended when he was selected by the Houston Texans with the fourth pick in the second round. Elsewhere around the league, the Falcons kept it in the family by drafting cornerback Avieon Terrell, whose older brother A.J. is on the team. And after the Steelers missed out on Makai Lemon during the first round, they drafted Alabama receiver Germie Bernard, trading with the Indianapolis Colts to move up from the No. 53 pick to the No. 47 selection. Then, to kick off the third round, the Arizona Cardinals drafted Miami QB Carson Beck.
