After two decades of being shackled side by side and forced to carry tourists day after grueling day, Ploy and Pwong have FINALLY tasted freedom — but their daring rescue wasn’t your average road trip…
📸 In a jaw-dropping scene straight out of a movie, these majestic souls were loaded onto a packed ferry, flanked by pickup trucks, barrels, and curious passengers, as they made their way across the ocean from an island near the Thailand-Cambodia border. One wrong step, one loud horn — and this mission could’ve ended in disaster.

🌿 Ploy, emaciated and on the brink of death from starvation, had one constant in her nightmare: Pwong, the loyal companion who never left her side. Rescuers say their bond is “unbreakable,” forged in suffering, now reborn in sanctuary.

🙏 And the best part? These aren’t the only survivors. FOUR elephants were rescued this month alone — each one with heartbreaking stories and over 100 years combined in chains. But now? They walk toward healing, together.
