Caught up in attack, Real left some gaps at the back. In the 72nd minute, Teze capitalized on a mistake by Ceballos to pull one back for Monaco, cutting the score to 1–5 — but that was all the French side could manage.

In the 80th minute, Bellingham finally found the net after several missed chances, sealing a jubilant goal fest at the Bernabéu as Real cruised to a 6–1 victory.
