CONGRATS: Drake Maye Shares Heartfelt Baby News — “Our Little Patriot Is on the Way”

Drake Maye Announces Life-Changing News — “Our Little Patriots Is on the Way”

Just days after the heartbreaking Super Bowl LX loss to Seattle, Drake Maye has given Patriots fans something powerful to celebrate.

In an emotional social media post early this morning, the Patriots quarterback shared an ultrasound image along with the caption:

“Blessed beyond measure. Bry and I are excited to share that we’re expecting our first little Patriots. #Patriots.”

The announcement comes at a dramatic moment in his life. On Sunday night, Maye stood on the sport’s biggest stage, leading New England in Super Bowl LX before falling 29–13. Despite the loss, the second-year quarterback threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns, proving he belongs among the NFL’s rising elite.

Now, just 48 hours later, he is preparing for an even bigger role — fatherhood.

A Love Story Years in the Making

Maye’s relationship with his wife, Ann Michael Maye (born Ann Michael Hudson), is one of the most enduring romances in modern NFL circles.

Their journey began in 2015 when both were just 12 years old, meeting at William A. Hough High School in North Carolina. Through high school transitions and football dreams, they remained inseparable.

When Maye transferred schools to elevate his football path, their bond never wavered. Eventually, both attended the University of North Carolina, where he became a collegiate star while Ann Michael earned her degree in Business Administration in May 2025.

They publicly confirmed their relationship in January 2020. In January 2025, Maye proposed during a beach getaway in Mexico.

On June 21, 2025, they married at Grandfather Golf and Country Club in North Carolina. In a move that reflected their character, the couple donated all wedding gifts to homeless shelters and children in need.

From Super Bowl Stage to Fatherhood

Now living in Massachusetts, Maye just completed a breakout season, leading the Patriots to 14 wins and a Super Bowl appearance in February 2026.

Ann Michael has also built her own growing presence, becoming a recognized influencer and host of the cooking segment Beyond Bakemas on NBC Sports Boston.

Maye once said marrying young was “one of the smartest decisions of my life” because he always had his best friend by his side — from Friday night lights to the NFL’s biggest spotlight.

And now, even after the sting of a Super Bowl defeat, the Mayes are stepping into a new chapter together.

The Patriots fell short of a Lombardi Trophy this week.

But for Drake Maye, the future just got a lot bigger — and a lot more meaningful.
