In September 2023, Morocco was struck by a devastating earthquake that claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people.
Among the countless tragedies was the story of Abderrahim Ouhida, a young Real Madrid supporter who lost his parents, grandfather and two of his siblings in the disaster.
After the quake, Abderrahim was spotted on television wearing a Real Madrid kit.
The club quickly took notice and decided to act.
Los Blancos invited the youngster to Spain, where he attended the Champions League clash with Marseille, toured the Santiago Bernabeu, and even signed for the academy.
To top it off, Abderrahim met the first-team players and received a kit signed by every single one of them, including club president Florentino Perez.
It was a gesture of solidarity that reminded the world Real Madrid’s greatness isn’t just measured in trophies, but in the compassion and hope they bring beyond the pitch.
