Real Madrid narrowly escaped defeat in injury time, continuing to chase Barcelona.

Real Madrid entered their away match against Celta Vigo aiming for all three points to continue chasing Barcelona in the La Liga title race. Despite the absence of Mbappe due to injury, the Royal team started with great determination and quickly capitalized on their advantage with an early goal.
In the 7th minute, following a well-organized attack, Aurelien Tchouameni scored with a precise finish to open the scoring for Real Madrid. However, the early goal did not give the visitors complete control of the game as Celta Vigo quickly responded.
The home team played with great confidence and surprisingly found an equalizer in the 25th minute. Borja Iglesias capitalized on an opportunity in the penalty area to bring the game back to a tie, putting Real Madrid under considerable pressure.
For the remainder of the match, Real Madrid continuously increased the pressure. Numerous opportunities were created, but goalkeeper Radu and the Celta Vigo defense played tenaciously, frustrating the visiting team’s strikers on several occasions.

As the match drew to a close and the draw seemed inevitable, a dramatic turn of events occurred. In the 90+5th minute, Federico Valverde unleashed a long-range shot from outside the penalty area; the ball deflected off a Celta Vigo defender and flew into the net, leaving goalkeeper Radu completely helpless.
A late goal secured a dramatic 2-1 victory for Real Madrid. With 63 points after 27 rounds, coach Arbeloa’s team continues to closely trail Barcelona, trailing them by just one point in the standings.
