The megastar – who turns 36 on Saturday – appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday where she made rare candid comments about her relationship with the 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Swift reflected on the past year with the 61-year-old host and named her blessings as she said ‘getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back.

‘Those were two things that just might never have happened. They could have just never happened. It wasn’t like, “Oh, it’s just a matter of time.”‘

Though the Blank Space hitmaker has had a lot of success in her life and career those blessings are not lost on her.

She said: ‘Both of those things could have just never arrived in my life, and I’m so grateful for both of those things happening.’

She gushed: ‘My third favorite person, and it’s not in any order, because I do talk to him more than the other two is Travis. I can talk to him about any of this you know.’

The other two people that she seeks advice from are Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks and Max Martin who produced her latest album The Life Of A Showgirl.

It certainly has seemed like a storybook romance as Swift and Kelce revealed their engagement in August.

The two made the announcement over the summer with a joint Instagram post featuring the caption: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’

For the chat show appearance, Swift stunned in a velvet burgundy $1,695 David Koma mini dress with a Bardot neckline and structured wing-like off-the-shoulder sleeves.

Her blonde tresses were swept into a chic updo, and she accentuated her features with a dark red lip and cat-eye eyeliner.

The star is busy promoting her upcoming The End of an Era docuseries and The Eras Tour Final Show, which will begin streaming on Disney+ on Friday.

Speaking of her Eras tour, she revealed that not even illness would prevent her from going on stage.

‘I make a decision at the beginning of the tour that there is no option to not to go on stage. That’s not an option. Even if you have the stomach flu, which I had multiple times during the tour, my goal was to never let them know you have the stomach flu.’

‘I think it’s also about knowing that there is something bigger than you. And for me, on that tour, the bigger thing was these people have saved up their money, they have rearranged their schedules, they have arranged transportation, they’ve had parties, they have created costumes, they’ve made friendship bracelets. I’m doing the show!’

Colbert also inquired how Swift winds down at the end of the night.

She replied: ‘After the show, you know that kind of feeling where you are just sort of like a flickering light bulb, like that just happens. It’s crazy that these people are being so nice and wonderful and that’s hard to go to sleep after.

‘So I will go back to the hotel, you know, get out of the costume. Into the bath immediately, into the bath, mermaid time. And then I get the most amount of room service possible.’

The host asked if she ordered French fries, to which she replied, ‘Yes, everything, everything I want on that given night.’

‘I’m just like I need to power up for the three-and-a-half-hour show. It’s the best.’

She said that afterward she would sign ‘like two thousand CDs.’
