Out of their past two games with an illness, Curry is questionable to return to play Sunday for the Golden State Warriors against the Indiana Pacers at Chase Center, per the NBA’s injury report. Curry felt fatigued in the second half of Tuesday night’s win over the Phoenix Suns and was noticeably unwell during his postgame news conference.

He didn’t travel with the team for Wednesday’s game against the Kings in Sacramento or Friday’s game with the Nuggets in Denver. The Warriors lost both games.

Is Stephen Curry Playing Tonight? Latest Injury Update on Warriors Star for Pacers Game

Speaking pregame Friday night, head coach Steve Kerr said he exchanged text messages with Curry, who expressed optimism about his condition. Kerr said it was too soon to say if Curry could play Sunday against the Pacers.

Curry opened his 17th season averaging 26.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 31.1 minutes shooting 38.9% from 3-point range. The Warriors started 2025-26 with seven games in 11 nights, including two sets of back-to-backs.

Also questionable for Golden State is center Al Horford (4.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists 22 minutes) because of a left foot strain. The 19th-year big man, scratched pregame Friday, iced his foot in the locker room and treated it postgame. After starting the season 4-1, the Warriors have lost four of their past five games and are 1-5 on the road this season.

They start a six-game trip Tuesday against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder.

“Every game up to this point is supposed to be one that sets a tone,” forward Jimmy Butler said Friday night. “I say this a lot, when you win, everything is masked, everything is covered up. So, if we go out there and win, it’s going to look like we played hard. It’s going to look like we executed. So, let’s just win, and we’ll take it from there.”
