There’s a new Dodger dog in town.

Over the weekend, World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto shared pictures of his new best friend, Carlos, the lucky dog he first met at a West Los Angeles animal shelter in August.

The Dodgers ace posted images of Carlos on Saturday, including the two of them as they boarded a private jet together and another of Carlos wearing Yamamoto’s sunglasses.

“He’s gentle and loves a slow life,” Yamamoto wrote in Saturday’s post. “He loves naps, walks, and eating good food.”

Yamamoto also posted a video of the first time he met Carlos. The hopeful pup can be heard whimpering for attention from inside the shelter’s kennel.

“I’m really happy mi Carlitos is with me now🐾,” wrote Yamamoto, who signed a record-breaking 12-year, $325 million deal with to leave Japan for the Dodgers in December 2023.

Carlos becomes the Dodgers’ newest K-9 celebrity, joining the ranks of Shohei Ohtani’s famous pooch Decoy, who delivered the first pitch before a game in 2024.

Decoy and Ohtani were immortalized with a golden bobblehead that night. We’ll have to wait and see if there’s a bobblehead in Carlos’ future.
