After many years with Barcelona—where he is widely regarded as the greatest player of all time—Messi moved to the U.S. to enjoy the final years of his career in Major League Soccer (MLS). The presence of several former teammates at Inter Miami appears to have helped the “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time) quickly settle into life in Florida.
In a video circulating on social media, Messi is seen behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Maybach S680, stopping in traffic to sign a fan’s jersey. Although he is not known as the flashiest superstar in the world, Messi still demonstrates a refined appreciation for luxury.

Since joining Inter Miami, the Argentine legend has reportedly spent heavily on a massive home for his family and is now upgrading his car collection. The custom Mercedes-Maybach S680 features an elegant monochrome color scheme and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 621 horsepower—enough to make even mid-range rivals envious.
One social media comment noted: “Seeing a football legend sitting in a V12 Maybach just feels right.” However, Mercedes is not his everyday choice. Before purchasing his Florida mansion, Messi lived in a penthouse at the Porsche Design Tower, which famously has an elevator that transports his supercars directly to his apartment.
Within his collection, the Mercedes may be the only car he keeps in the U.S., while numerous multimillion-dollar sports cars await him back in Spain. The crown jewel of his collection is a Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti valued at $36 million (around 945.8 billion VND), which he reportedly outbid Cristiano Ronaldo to acquire. Other notable models include one of just three Pagani Zonda Tricolore cars and a Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale—clear evidence of Messi’s elite taste.

As his playing days approach their end, many are asking: why not let this legend relax in a more comfortable ride?
