NFL fans are calling out Drake Maye for his postgame behavior with his wife, Anne Michael Maye, following the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.

The Patriots topped the Broncos, 10-7, in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday. The Patriots are back in the Super Bowl for the first time since the Bill Belichick and Tom Brady era ended. New England will be taking on longtime Super Bowl rival Seattle in the big game in two weeks.

Maye, a second-year quarterback, is excited.

“Yes, like I said, the history and everything about it, it’s a new team, it’s a new era,” Maye said after the game. “I respect and appreciate what the Patriots dynasty did, and unfortunately, they didn’t come out with some wins here, but we changed that narrative and look forward to bringing our best football to Santa Clara. That’ll be pretty special.”

Following the game, the NFL’s cameras captured Maye’s wife, Anne Michael, attempting to celebrate with him.

However, Maye didn’t appear to be in much of a mood to celebrate.

NFL fans found that Maye’s behavior was a bit odd.

“His body language is throwing me off. This was hard to watch. She was so excited for him,” one fan wrote.

“Why he lookin mad at her?” one fan added.

“He looks like he couldn’t care less that she’s there – and this is coming from a die hard patriots fan. It hardly looks like a couple celebrating going to the Super Bowl. Awkward,” one fan added.

“Why does he always seem so stand offish around her? She was so excited,” one fan added.

“Boy. Squeeze your wife again. Don’t look at the cameras and get embarrassed and blow her off. This makes me sad! ❤️,” one fan added.

Perhaps the New England Patriots quarterback is just waiting to really celebrate until the Super Bowl.
